High-End Microphone Capsule SNR Changes

From 2005 to 2015, the Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR) of the most advanced microphone capsules in the mass-market consumer electronics increased from below 60dB to around 65dB.

Today, with the rising demands set by new high-performance speech recognition systems and other application scenarios, the SNR of current high-end microphones continues to improve.

Our Φ14 unidirectional microphone capsule has an SNR of up to 79dB, and the Φ9 omnidirectional microphone capsule has an SNR of up to 82dB.

High-End Microphone Capsule Performance

High-end performance microphones are one of the key factors in achieving efficient speech recognition and high-quality audio capture.

With technological advancements, automatic speech recognition algorithms and camera technologies are rapidly improving.

Newly developed electronic products and the expectations of device buyers for user experience are also continuously rising.

Thus, it is crucial to ensure that the microphone capsule does not become a bottleneck in the enhancement of electronic devices.

High Performance Microphone SNR

As the AOP reaches 130dBSPL and the SNR exceeds 79dB (equivalent to the noise level of a 15dBSPL anechoic chamber), these high-performance microphone capsules help devices deliver a satisfactory user experience to the most demanding customers.
