If there are any noise generating devices in the room that are
not related to recording and radio, please turn them off.
Usually, indoor noise generating equipment includes electric
fans, air conditioners, or air purifiers. The noise from these
devices can affect the recording quality. Your audience
doesn't care if you're too hot or too cold. They are
concerned about receiving the information you want to convey
clearly and having a good listening experience.
Make full use of microphone directionality
Place all devices that cannot be eliminated but produce noise in
the blind spot of the microphone.
Each microphone has its unique directionality, providing
different sound reception effects for different angles of sound
sources. In an environment where a person is speaking and
recording with a microphone, it is common to use a heart-shaped
pointing microphone to face the speaker. At this point, there is
a blind spot (poor reception) behind the microphone.
If you have a noisy live streaming device (such as a computer
fan), you can move the microphone so that the back of the
microphone becomes the noise source of the computer fan. This
can greatly reduce noise interference and make recording
smoother and more effective.
Make the microphone as close to the mouth as possible
If you are recording in an unacoustic room, please try to be as
close to the microphone as possible. This can greatly reduce the
echo in the room.
The main source of echo is the sound of your speech, which is
reflected back through a smooth and hard surface and picked up
by the microphone. Echoes may be very effective in recording
certain types of music, but they are often very unsettling in
recorded conversations.
The main purpose of the microphone being close to the mouth is
to improve the signal-to-noise ratio, meaning that the direct
sound received by the microphone from the mouth will be much
larger than the echo received from the room.
Keep the microphone away from the surface of the table
If you play the computer keyboard or press the mouse
simultaneously during a live broadcast or video conference,
place the microphone on a separate microphone stand and keep it
away from the source of these tapping sounds.
Most entry-level USB microphones come with a desktop microphone
tripod when purchased. Although it is very convenient to use, it
is not ideal for people who can type on a table or use a mouse.
Using an elevated or independent microphone stand to keep the
microphone away from the desktop will reduce the noise of these
keyboards and mice, and improve the listening quality of the
audience.
Free blowout prevention technology
If you don't have the budget to purchase an explosion-proof
filter, you can move the microphone from the front of you to a
45 degree angle and align it with the corner of your mouth. This
can greatly improve the spraying effect of wheat.
